| Have you asked yourself why did the touch-screen devices create such a hype, an interest, created an entire industry and changed our lives in such a short time? To give you an idea, Apple sold one million iPhone 4S devices in the first 24 hours, making it the fastest-selling device ever! Some would say it is mainly the marketing and the branding that created the hype around this phone. That is probably partially true. Was it marketing that helped Jesus polish the stories of miracles he performed and made him popular? There has to be something intriguing about these touch-phones, that goes beyond the marketing and branding… Every once in a while the world experiences a breakthrough, an eye-opener, which changes the course of human progress; such as discovering The Earth is not actually flat. We have been living in a "Flat-Earth" world, for the past 30 years, when it comes to digital. | My Thoughts on “Thoughts on Flash”: A Look at the Bigger Picture | |||||||

| A few months ago Apple’s CEO – Steve Jobs: A person, whose intelligence, philosophy and vision, I truly admire – predicted the death of Flash (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/), as we enter the era of the Post-PC (tablets, smart-phones, etc.) devices. This topic ignited a battle between the two leaders within their industries – Apple vs. Adobe. Most importantly, the feud didn’t stop there – ever since I’ve been noticing, people and companies influenced by this topic, removing their flash content from their sites. Before I indulge into my thoughts, let me set the expectations, that I’m not siding with any of the above mentioned companies’ point of view. I rather give my perspective on where they, or anyone involved in this discussion, is “getting it wrong".
